Strategy Hacks for Up-Leveling (or Starting) Your Own Business Coming to Auberry

Updated: Apr 26, 2021

Revitalize Auberry is sponsoring a free small business and entrepreneur class on Thursday, March 26th at Inner Path Yoga Studio at 32980 Auberry Road (Rock Tree Center).

Starting a business is a beautiful, challenging, and frustrating adventure. It’s also incredibly brave.

If you’re a small business owner who serves small foothill communities like ours, you’re probably familiar of the ominous statistic that most new businesses fail within the first five years.

But do you know why?

Often, those who jump into business ownership don’t understand their market. Just because you think a community needs a product or service, doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s what the people want. Many first time entrepreneurs run out of cash, die to the competition, hire the wrong people, or lack a solid business plan.

In this class, small business owner and Revitalize Auberry steering committee member, Tami Jones, will share all of the lessons she’s learned working with Fortune-500 companies, SMBs and mentoring startups. She’ll offer practical advice on how to solve common problems faced by entrepreneurs.

You can expect lessons on defining your target market, how to nail market research, retaining existing customers, building a ‘customer experience’ model that will outlast your competition, the importance of building an online presence, culture transformation, journey mapping, and more.

Most importantly, we'll connect with small business owners and like-minded adventurists in our community. Support for each other and our local ventures is the key to success in rural areas.

With decades of helping others repair, up-level, and start business ventures under her belt as both a founder and a consultant, Tami has seen firsthand the factors that have made businesses thrive and fail.

By the time this series of classes is over, you'll be able to unlock your true potential as a thriving business leader and build a legacy for years to come.

Thank you for your continued dedication and passion for 'our towns.' If you have any questions or would like to chat about all things 'Revitalize Auberry,' please call Tami Jones at (559) 890-1022 or Cortney Jones-Burke at (559) 855-8222.

We look forward to seeing you on the 26th!
